The Gift of Imperfection

In today’s fast world, where everyone is running after quick success.

Everyone wants to be flawless and perfect.

We lose our originality for the sake of others without understanding that we are at our best in our original state……

Let’s understand that no one is perfect and it’s OK to have imperfections ….

The gift of imperfections

  1. Embrace your flaws, they are not all bad – They make you brave, kind and help you connect with others.
  2. Being real – It needs courage to be real as who you are. Be true to yourself. Nothing good ever comes from inauthenticity if your CORE is flawed. Authenticity helps you in accepting your flaws. When you accept your flaws, you begin to grow.
  3. Don’t forget to be kind to yourself – Everyone has some flaws in them, and that’s fine. Don’t curse yourself for your flaws; accept them and work on them.
  4. Life is tough, and so are you – It’s about resilience, think about a rubber band, no matter how much you pull it, it bounces back to its original shape, keep moving forward when things get tough.
  5. Joy and gratitude – They don’t just happen; you need to work on them. Find the good in every day. Think of a garden, it only provides flowers and fruits when nurtured properly. Similarly, we need to nurture ourselves for joy and gratitude. The key to feeling joy is to cultivate gratitude. It is all about recognizing and appreciating good things in our lives, even when things are going wrong.
  6. Trust and believe in yourselves – Intuition and faith are key to lead a full and authentic life, they help us to navigate life’s uncertainties with confidence and bravery; by trusting our intuition we can make decisions that are lines with our values and goals and by having faith in ourselves we can face the unknown with strength and resilience.
  7. Get Creative – Find fresh solutions to problems. It’s about expressing ourselves, which is uniquely ours. It’s about choosing to be your own person not just another face in the crowd. “Chasing the unique butterfly instead of chasing the herd”. We will be more productive when we are more creative.
  8. Learn to be calm and still – Anxiety can hold you back. Calmness is a slow and steady journey; it’s about learning to steer your way through the storm in your mind to a suitable solution. Stillness is about creating a space that is free from emotional clutter.
  9. Choose your work wisely as it defines your life – If you feel happy on Friday night as tomorrow and the day after a holidays, then you are in the wrong workplace. Most of us work to pay our monthly bills and enjoy some luxury; the common idea is to earn a decent salary and pay the bills instead of finding meaning and joy in life like a robot. Does your work make you feel alive? Do you derive meaning from it? The problem is that most people follow the same standard pattern that everyone is following without thinking critically. We should explore our inner selves to understand our likes and dislikes, whether our dreams are worth pursuing or not. Once you have enough self-knowledge, it will be easier for you to choose a job that provides you with financial stability and personal fulfilment.
